RentBOLD is an online service that enables people to rent to and from each other in a secure,
easy-to-use and free market environment. RentBOLD is a better way to rent.
What does it cost to use RentBOLD?
RentBOLD is very affordable. There are no sign up, membership or termination fees.
RentBOLD's philosophy is that you pay for what you use and nothing more.
All new users are given $2.00 of free RentBOLD credit
to help them get started. For more details, take a look at what it costs.
How do financial holds work?
RentBOLD utilizes an internal financial system for holding security deposits and paying invoices (rental bills).
When a hold is placed on funds, they cannot be accessed until the hold is released. When the rental is over and the item owner is paid in full, the hold is automatically released.
When a user requests a rental of an item that requires a security deposit, that amount of funds are held until the rental is finished or canceled.
Those funds are held by RentBOLD and are available to help pay for damages incurred during the course of the rental.
When a user requests a withdrawal of funds ('My Account', 'Financial', 'Withdraw Funds From My Account'), a hold is placed on those funds. When the user's check is placed in the mail,
the hold and funds are removed.
How do I withdraw funds from my RentBOLD account?
When you make a rental security deposit, the funds you deposit go into your RentBOLD account. When you rent items to others
and they pay you via electronic invoice, the money is deposited into your RentBOLD account.
To withdraw funds, login into your RentBOLD account and go to 'My Account', 'Financial', 'Withdraw Funds From My Account' and enter the amount you would like to withdraw.
RentBOLD then mails you a check.
What percentage of rental profits does RentBOLD take?
RentBOLD does not receive any portion of rental transactions.

What if my item gets broken during a rental?
All users are required to read and accept RentBOLD's User Agreement
before they can participate in any rentals. Item users agree to pay for damages they cause to the items they rent.
Item owners cover costs of normal wear and tear.
Also, RentBOLD's internal financial system automates security
deposits to help ensure that you are paid for rentals and subsequent damages. You (the item owner) set the amount
of the security deposit.
What if my item gets stolen?
Item owners are encouraged to ask for photo identification before a rental item is exchanged. This helps
validate the item user's identity. Additionally, RentBOLD securely stores its users' personal information
(email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, etc). RentBOLD logs Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to
help locate users with falisified personal information. Security deposits (as set by the item owner) minimize
abuse and are available to help reduce loss. RentBOLD's rating and feedback features help you evaluate
other users before you decide to rent to them. RentBOLD cooperates fully with your local justice system.
What if somebody gets hurt while using my item?
All users are required to read and accept RentBOLD's User Agreement
before they can participate in any rentals. Item users accept that renting is at their own risk. If they
get hurt, hurt somebody else or damage anything during the course of a rental, they are liable for the damages.
Item owners should ensure that their items are in proper working condition, but ultimately, item users
are responsible for what happens during the course of the rental.
What if I need help resolving a problem during a rental?
RentBOLD's online help features guide you through each step of a rental. RentBOLD representatives are also
available for help during rentals.
Do I have to give other people my personal information?
RentBOLD allows you to specify the level of anonymity that you are comfortable with. RentBOLD's
internal messaging system allows item owners and users to communicate with each other
without exchanging any personal information. It is possible for a rental to proceed where both parties
remain completely anonymous (from each other, not from RentBOLD). It is up to you to decide if and when you
give out any personal information.
Will my credit/debit card information be safe?
RentBOLD does not store credit or debit card information. All credit and debit card processing
is done through Google Checkout.
Is there a limit to the number of items I can list?
List as many items as you want, it's free.
Is RentBOLD easy to use?
RentBOLD has been built with simplicity in mind. RentBOLD's online help features make sure you get answers to
your questions. RentBOLD continually strives to improve its services. Users are encouraged to submit
suggestions using RentBOLD's electronic suggestion box (found under 'Support' when logged in).
