How RentBOLD collects information about you
As with most web sites, when you visit RentBOLD, your Internet Protocol (IP) address and information about which pages you access are recorded. When you sign up for an account, you are required to fill out and submit a form. All of the information provided in that form is recorded. Whenever you add, remove or change information within your account (contact information, item information, rentals, etc.), the changes are recorded.

How RentBOLD stores and protects personal information
Throughout this policy, the term "personal information" is used to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. RentBOLD does not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not identify a specific user (excluding user names). RentBOLD stores and processes your personal information using a secure, third party hosting service. RentBOLD authorizes personal information access only to RentBOLD representatives who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities.

How RentBOLD uses personal information
RentBOLD does not share or sell any of your personal information. Your personal information is used internally for statistical analysis, reports and to resolve disputes. It is also used by RentBOLD to contact and communicate with you. Should either party of a rental or sale require personal information due to legal action, it will be provided in accordance with local laws.

How RentBOLD shares personal information with other users
RentBOLD's primary purpose in collecting your personal information is to provide a safe and efficient renting experience. When you are part of a rental, personal information may be shared with the other party automatically based upon the level of anonymity that you choose. If you choose the highest level of anonymity, no personal information (except for your first name) is given by RentBOLD to the other party. Driving directions from the user to the item being rented (and vice versa) are automatically provided to those responsible for traveling to exchange the item. The item owner specifies the address of the item, which may or may not be his/her residence.

How RentBOLD shares personal information with advertisers
When you click an advertisement, some information about you is recorded. Advertisers are given general demographic information (age, gender, ZIP code, etc.) that helps them understand their advertising campaigns. All information given to advertisers is anonymized.

RentBOLD understands that your privacy is of utmost importance. Your email address(es), street address(es) and phone number(s) are not given out without your consent.
